St. Ludolph

Today marks the memorial of St. Ludolph, bishop and martyr of the Premonstratensian Order, partiuclarly invoked as a martyr for the freedom of the Church. Nothing is known of the early years of Ludolph. He joined the Norbertine Cathedral Chapter of Ratzeburg where he was treasurer before being elected eighth bishop of Ratzeburg in 1236. [...]
