Tyburn

tyburn-tree-gallows

Over the past week our Prior Administrator, Fr. Hugh, has been giving a retreat to the nuns of Tyburn in London.

The convent stands near the site of the infamous gallows; the tree of Tyburn, where many English Catholics met their deaths for their faith and thus gave glorious witness to Catholic truth.

At Tyburn the Most Blessed Sacrament is perpetually exposed for adoration, both for the community and the many people who pass by. It is a great grace that in the very midst of our busy capital the Prisoner of Love is the object of constant prayers and praise.
