The chapel was lit with many candles today for the feast of Candlemas, which is celebrated as a solemnity in our Order. We had the customary procession with blessed candles before the Conventual Mass, which was sung to Norbertine chant.
Let us pray on this feast that we might gain something of Our Lady’s humility and patience, something of Our Blessed Lord’s charity, something of St Joseph’s honesty, and something of Simeon’s holy joy. May the Temple of our hearts always be ready to greet the King of Kings when He comes to us in all humility in the Most Blessed Eucharist.
The pictures show the sanctuary as it looked at Second Vespers this evening.
