Beatification of Ven. Peter-Adrian Toulorge

We have written previously about Ven. Peter-Adrian Toulorge and his impending beatification, and we are pleased to announce that in the last few hours Ven. Peter-Toulorge O.Praem, martyr of the French Revolution, was beatified in the cathedral of the diocese of Coutances by His Eminence Angelo Cardinal Amato SDB, Prefect of the Congregation for the Causes of Saints.

Peter-Adrian Toulorge

We ask you all to keep the Norbertines in your prayers today. We ask especially that you might say a prayer to the soon to be blessed Peter-Adrian that we all might have his perseverance and strength in the face of those who hate Christ and His Church.

O Blessed Priest and Martyr Peter Adrian, glory of the Christian clergy and the Norbertine Order, I rejoice that from the day of your martyrdom you have been a heavenly protector of those who ask for your intercession. I rejoice also that God found you worthy to suffer imprisonment and death for Our Lord Jesus Christ. I rejoice as well that Holy Church has declared you blessed on earth and raised you to the glory of the altar. Pray for me that I may turn my own gaze toward heaven and not to the passing things of this world. Pray for me that I may live an upright life and live and die in the religion of the Holy, Catholic, Apostolic and Roman Church. Pray for me for the particular intention I bring before you [here pause to express your intention] since I know you to be a perfect friend of those who love the God who so loved and favoured you. Amen.

Bl Peter-Adrian Toulorge, pray for us!

Rev 7:14, “These are they who have come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of the Lamb.”
